Kölcsey Ferenc 1823-ban ezen a napon fejezte be a Himnuszt.
Ma ezért emlékezünk meg mi, magyarok határon innen és túl kulturális értékékeinkről.
A magyar kultúra napján Sonkodi Rita festőművész kiállítását látogattam meg szülővárosomban, Szegeden. Nemcsak a jelen, de a jövő művészei, a Tömörkény István Gimnázium művészeti tagozatos diákjai is velem tartottak az ünnepi tárlatvezetésre.

On this day in 1823, Ferenc Kölcsey completed Hungary’s national anthem, the Himnusz. That is why we Hungarians, inside and outside our borders, remember our cultural treasures today. On the
Day of Hungarian Culture, I visited the exhibition of painter Rita Sonkodi in my hometown, Szeged. On this special guided tour of the exhibition, I was joined not only by contemporary artists, but also by the artists of tomorrow, i.e. the art students of the Tömörkény István Secondary School of Art.
