Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that for 2025 he sees a Hungarian economy that is starting moving and gaining momentum.
PM Orbán told Kossuth Radio on Friday that Hungarians are getting a lot of money now, "there is an interest rain", as recently the state has made HUF 480bn of interest payments on retail government securities.
Something will happen with this money, either people put it into another form of savings, or they spend some of it, or they distribute it among the family, PM Orbán said noting that it is important that this money enters the economy.
If such a large sum goes from state coffers to the people, it will certainly have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the economy, he added.
