"Viktor Orbán has fought it out; the EU funds are coming to Hungary," Tamás Menczer, the communications director of the ruling parties, said in a Facebook video on Sunday.
Menczer said the prime minister has already fought out 12.5 billion euros, and the rest will come, too.
Menczer said there were certain points in EU decision-making where unanimity was needed, and Viktor Orbán "knows this better than anyone because he is the most experienced prime minister in Brussels," he explained.
"He will also fight out the rest, and when the 12.5 billion euros have been used up, the rest will come, too, no one should have any doubt. The Hungarian prime minister has fought out every forint and every euro that is due to Hungary, and he will do so in future," Tamas Menczer said.
