Kovács Zoltán:

It is a tremendous honor to have been awarded the "International Legislator of the Year" recognition by the U.S.-based Safari Club International - SCI, one of the most prominent global organizations for hunting and conservation. The award acknowledges my work over the past years, particularly during Hungary's EU presidency.

I had the privilege of accepting the award at the organization's annual congress in #SCINashville, in front of an audience of approximately 3,700 people. I dedicated it to the Hungarian professionals, foresters, hunters, and conservationists whose efforts have ensured that Hungary remains a bastion of common-sense conservation and the preservation of traditional hunting values in Europe.

In my speech, I emphasized the importance of collaboration between various American, Hungarian, and international organizations. I spoke about the many tasks ahead for those committed to environmental preservation and sustainable wildlife management, especially as we look forward to the return of an era of "common sense", marked by the presidency of Donald J. Trump. Hungary is determined to lead the way in these efforts, setting an example of how effective cooperation can achieve meaningful results.
